Weekend Recap

Hope you guys had a wonderful weekend!  Would love to hear how you spent it.

Friday

Friday after work Jason and I headed out with some friends to the Fort Bend County Fair (our first night out since having Jack, gasp)!  It's not that we were afraid to leave him as we do everyday when we go to work.  We just love being at home with our little man and don't see the need to leave (although I would love another date night soon to go see Insidious 2).  Back to the fair.  We had so much fun.  Fried food, Ferris wheel, live music and carnival games.  Success.

Saturday

Hair day.  See next post! So excited to finish our Halloween mantle with a Spooky banner from Butterfly Above Etsy Shop.

My little Jack-O-Lantern

Sunday

Our church had the annual Blessing of the Pets service. Anyone could bring their pets to the service for a special blessing and celebration.  We really wanted to bring Tucker, but ultimately decided not to since Tuck isn't very friendly to kiddos yet is a kid magnet since he is so cute.  The service was held outside and was cold and rainy...good decision not to bring Tuck since worrying about Jack was enough.  Lots of dogs attended, but the awards for most unique pets in church went to the cows and goldfish...the same goldfish that we won on Friday at the fair!

After church Jason had homework to do all day so I was on Jack duty.  We did some grocery shopping, errands. and laundry.  I made dinner, my sis in law came over and we watched the Texans lose...boo!

I finally had Jack's newborn picture framed and hung in the nursery also.  Sidenote: I'm obsessed with the blocks pictured that Shannon and Sara made for Jack!

  1. I'm so sad we didn't make it to the fair this year…looks like you guys had a great time! Isn't it weird to be out with the rest of the world on a Friday night?? We've only done it a couple times too, and while it was awesome, I almost didn't know what to do with myself! Ha!

Love that sweet newborn pic too!
